The Encounter Worship Center Christian Academy is a private Christian school serving kindergarten through 12th grade. We welcome general-education students and students who may benefit from additional academic or behavioral support.
We believe every child deserves to be known: their strengths, their challenges, their interests, and their God-given potential. Our school brings faith, individualized learning, and family partnership together.
How we began
A calling to help children learn.
Dr. Arthur T. Hinton III and Mrs. Brittany C. Hinton began tutoring students during the pandemic. That work grew into a vision for a Christian school. Founded in 2024, the Academy carries that commitment to faith and personal attention into its school community.
That original purpose continues to shape EWCCA: meeting students where they are, helping them develop understanding, and nurturing their relationship with God.

Christian education is woven into our approach to learning and character. Through a biblical worldview, Scripture, prayer, and opportunities for spiritual growth, we encourage students to connect what they learn with how they live.

Dr. Arthur T. Hinton III
President & Headmaster
Read Bio: Dr. Arthur T. Hinton III
Apostle Dr. Arthur T. Hinton III brings more than 20 years in education and ministry to his work. He serves as President and Headmaster of The Encounter Worship Center Christian Academy and as Founder and Senior Pastor of The Encounter Worship Center in Tampa. The Academy and church are separate nonprofit entities.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Millikin University, a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Kaplan University, and a Doctor of Divinity from Midwest Bible College.
His leadership emphasizes biblical truth, servant leadership, and academic excellence. Alongside Mrs. Brittany C. Hinton, he helped grow pandemic-era tutoring into the Academy’s founding vision.

Mrs. Brittany C. Hinton serves as Vice President and Education Director of EWCCA. She and Dr. Arthur T. Hinton III began tutoring students during the pandemic, work that helped shape the vision for the Academy, founded in 2024.
